アクロバティックの踊り子たちは水の中で白い蛭になる夢ばかり見き

acrobat display -
the dancers keep on dreaming
nothing but a dream
as they are transformed into
white leeches in the waters.

飾られるショウウィンドウの花花はどうせ消えちゃうパステルで描く

All those flowers that
have been decorating
the display windows -
I shall paint them in pastels
that anyhow will soon fade.

自分ならこう訳すのにと違うことを思ったりもする。
短歌を翻訳する難しさを知った。

先生の引越のとき、本の山からこれを見つけた。「ください！」それ以来、この本は大切に読んでいる。そして、種々の短歌に毎度まいどココロもカラダも撃たれまくる。
