• 内容紹介: ザ・ビートルズがデビューアルバムを発売した2週間後の英国バッキンガムシャーの名門男子校ストウ・スクールでのライヴが60分の長さにわたって発見されたのです。シングル「プリーズ・プリーズ・ミー」がヒットし、英国で人気が高まりだした時期。同校の生徒デヴィッド・ムーアズがビートルズに手紙を出し実現した、1963年4月4日の学園コンサート。当時15歳だった男子生徒、ジョン・ブルームフィールドが録音し60年間保管していたものです(現在は大英図書館に所蔵されています)。先月、BBC放送に持ち込まれ、「I Saw Her Standing There」「Too Much Monkey Business」「Memphis, Tennessee」「Please Please Me」の4曲の一部だけが放送されました。そして今ここに60分にわたる全貌が登場。 (C)RS
