This is ‘The Agatha Christie’ novel I had read first in English. This is an easy-to-read and thrilling, exciting book. Why? I could not stop flipping pages one by one because I wanted to know how the characters solved the mystery. Moreover, The book is written with easy-to-read English words, so I enjoyed reading it! I recommend this mystery for ’TADOKU' beginners!

ミステリー小説であるもののセリフが多い為、内容が理解し易い。
予め耳をイギリス英語に慣らしておくと、英語がイギリス訛で耳に入って来ておもしろい。

英語多読のために読みました。初ポアロ。ABCと名乗る人物からの殺人予告の手紙がポアロに届き、Aのつく街で頭文字Aの人物が狙われます。
ポアロと犯人の知恵比べのようですが、終わってみれば挑戦状の意味も含めて犯人の計算高さが伺えます。真犯人を突き止めるべく友人のヘイスティングスと奔走するポアロですが、アプローチにはプロファイリングも含まれており、科学的なホームズともまた違った味を出していて、すっかりハマってしまいました。
